Politics in North Devon
Are you interested in politics and what is going on in our world?
Do you want to engage in conversation with like-minded people about the issues of the day?
Do you want to know more about the issues surrounding the Police and Crime Commissioner election in May? What about the EU? What do you think about the Chancellor’s Budget? What about the migration and refugee crisis – what should we do?
The Conservative Party welcomes debate, discussion and representation and there is a discussion paper on Housing which this new group may wish to consider and even make a response up the line.
The Conservative Party wants to hear Your Views
On Thursday 7 April at 7 for 7.30pm at the Conservative Club in Boutport Street, Barnstaple, there is a chance for you to come and discuss these issues and we are hoping that this will become a regular event.
This first meetings special guest will be Peter Heaton-Jones MP and chaired by Philip Milton. In the future we will be inviting Councillors, MEP’s, Community and Business leaders and potentially Government Ministers.
While this meeting is being held by the North Devon Conservative Association attendance is not restricted to party members. This is however to be a positive and constructive meeting on multiple subject matters. It is not a platform for protest or to be dominated by any one single issue. Please be assured there is no strict agenda but it will be at the meeting Chairman’s discretion as to what topics are discussed and at what length.
Attendance is free – please come along and have your say and hopefully you’ll also get to meet plenty of like-minded people. Participation isn’t mandatory and if you just wanted to come along and listen that is perfectly fine as well.
If you would like to come, please register by calling 01271 343101 or preferably email [email protected] or via the North Devon Conservative Association Facebook or @NDevonTories Twitter pages too.
