At every election, there are people who forget to vote or who turn up but have failed to register to vote in time. Here in North Devon, every vote counts.
The next election is for the election of local councillors in May 2023.
- Registering to vote has never been easier. Click here and answer a few questions online - it takes around five minutes.
- Voting by post is a great way to make sure you never miss an election because of work, holidays, family commitments or even just because of the weather on the day. Click here to apply for a postal vote. All you need to do is download the form, fill it in and send it to [email protected] or post it to:
- Electoral Services
North Devon Council
Lynton House
Commercial Road

- Electoral Services
- Appointing a proxy is another way to make sure your vote counts. Instead of you filling in a ballot paper, you appoint someone to vote on your behalf. Click here for a form to register someone as your proxy (you'll need their permission first).
