This week, Conservative County Councillor for Combe Martin Rural, Andrea Davis, returned to County Hall and was reappointed to sit on the cabinet with the additional brief of buses, and within the first few days she has been able to welcome the announcement of 2 bus services coming to North Devon!
In an email to residents, Andrea said:
”I’m writing to let you know of two bus service developments along the North Devon & Exmoor coast which will increase leisure travel opportunities this year.”
“The Exmoor Coaster is a commercial initiative by First Bus, starting on Sunday 30th May, linking Lynmouth and Countisbury with Porlock and Minehead. First’s timetable and further details are available on-line:”

“In combination with the revived Service 300, journeys will be possible along the whole Devon and Somerset coast between Ilfracombe and Minehead. The 300 is operated under contract by Taw and Torridge Coaches and is financially supported by Devon County Council using new government funding allocated in early 2020, but unfortunately put on hold due to the COVID pandemic. The revived 300 service will run Sundays & Bank Holidays 30th May to 31st October and Monday to Friday 26th July to 3rd September.
“Both timetables are attached. They will also appear in the County Council’s North Devon area timetable book which, after not appearing during 2020, is now being republished and distributed in the area.”
This is fantastic news from Andrea and shows how she and the Conservative administration at County Hall is dedicated to improving connectivity in North Devon for our rural communities.
We’re excited to see what more is to come!
